Dear Explore Families,

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting student success at Explore PK-8. Each year, Colorado schools receive performance ratings based on state testing results (CMAS, SAT/PSAT, ACCESS), graduation rates, and other indicators.

This year, Explore PK-8 has been identified for support and improvement under Colorado’s state accountability system. To address this, we are focusing on Academic Achievement in Literacy and Mathematics for grades K-5 and Academic Achievement and Growth in Literacy and Mathematics for grades 6-8.

As we look ahead to the 2026-27 school year, we invite families and community members to attend an important meeting with District leaders and the Explore leadership team, where we will:

• Provide an overview of Colorado’s accreditation and accountability system and Explore’s current designation for improvement
• Share the Explore story, including the challenges we’ve faced and the progress we’re making together
• Plan for the future by discussing next steps and inviting your input as we shape Explore’s 2026-27 Improvement Plan
