Welcome to Explore PK-8!

Explore PK-8 offers students an innovative and inclusive learning environment grounded in relationships, rituals, and traditions.  Explore partners with EL Education to consider three dimensions of student achievement: mastery of knowledge and skills, character development and high-quality student work. Students merge meaningful math, science and social studies content, anchored in challenging literacy experiences.  Explore teachers are committed to personal and intellectual success for each and every student.

Expeditionary Learning

When students and teachers are engaged in work that is challenging, adventurous and meaningful, learning and achievement flourish. Our mission is to create classrooms where teachers can fulfill their highest aspirations, and students achieve more than they think possible, becoming active contributors to building a better world.

Art Class with Mrs. Ptaszynski!

Explore PK8 1st grade students in Mrs. Ptaszynski's art class are learning about the difference between warm and cool colors. To put their knowledge to the test, students drew cats and dogs and could only use a warm or cool color palette when filling in their lines.

Every day matters in Mapleton! Good attendance plays a crucial role in a student’s educational journey, serving as a key predictor of academic achievement and social development. In Mapleton, it's our goal to have students attend school at least 95% of the time – missing no more than nine days a year for any reason.
